MINOS at Harvard University

The MINOS (Main Injector Neutrino Oscillation Search) experiment will use 120 GeV protons from the Fermilab Main Injector to send a neutrino beam 735 km through the Earth to a second detector located underground in Soudan Minnesota.

The experiment is looking for evidence for neutrino oscillations which is a sensitive test of the existence of neutrino mass.

The Harvard group is leading efforts in the front-end electronics, beam-line design, calibration, object-oriented software design, and event reconstruction.
