The Laboratory for Particle Physics and Cosmology at Harvard University has an opening for Postdoctoral Research Fellows.
The opening is with the ATLAS experiment at CERN. The successful candidate will be expected to work on detector commissioning at CERN initially. The Harvard ATLAS group has participated in the design, construction and installation of the precision muon chambers, and we plan to continue this work through commissioning of the detector. For any questions regarding this opening, please contact Prof. Melissa Franklin, <franklin@physics.harvard.edu>.
Applicants for these positions should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics. Experience with state-of-the-art detector systems and with the analysis software of a particle physics experiment are required.
Interested applicants should send their CV, a list of publications, and a statement of interest, and arrange to have three (3) letters of reference to be sent electronically to Angela Allen <allen@physics.harvard.edu>, or by mail to Angela Allen, Lyman Laboratory of Physics, Harvard University, 17 Oxford Street, Cambridge, MA 02138.
Harvard is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. Applications from women and minority candidates are especially encouraged.
